Incident 4086202 - Product range updates failure on Food eCommerce site

    The issues around failing product updates to stores was resolved over the weekend with a temporary workaround to manually process the batch files daily. This will continue to run until a permanent fix is identified and implemented. The permanent solution will be managed as part of the Problem Management process. No further updates.

    Following the issues of the failed product range updates to stores, a workaround has been put in place which will complete the updates with tonight's batch run. This process will be then manually repeated daily over the weekend and will be closely monitored by supporting teams. A potential root cause has been identified which will continue to be reviewed on Monday. Next update Monday 27th Sept - 11:00am.

    A manual workaround to mitigate the impact of the failed product range updating process has been identified. In order to protect additional batch jobs and service, we are expecting the temporary fix batch job to complete by midday on Friday 24th Sept. Next comms 12:00pm Friday or prior if any significant update.

    Progress has been made in identifying the failing step of the of the automated products range update process. We are looking to try and upload yesterday's file manually in an effort to bring the site products up to date with new and removed products. If this proves successful, this workaround will stay in place until the automated process has been resolved. Next update 5pm.

    The cause of the products range update failure is still being investigated by multiple teams. We are also exploring the possibility of workaround options to get the range data up to date. Next comms at 3pm or prior on any significant update.

    The issue with updating products range data on the shop.coop.co.uk continues. The overnight batch failed again which means that we are into the second day of out of date product range availability on shop.coop.co.uk Impact to the customers is lack of visibility of new lines added as well as the potential to select products which are no longer available. Product information and price data remain unaffected. The reason has been identified but investigations into the actual cause continue. We are looking into workarounds. Next update 12:15pm

    The failed batch was due to a missing file which was therefore not processed. Investigations and resolution activity is still underway as to the cause and prevention of re-occurrence. Next update on completion of resolution activity.

    We are awaiting instructions from Naveo in terms of the management of re-running the failed batch. As a result some products are missing from some stores' inventory when shopping on Shop.coop.co.uk. Next comms 3pm, or on any significant update.

  • Investigating

    An issue has been identified where some products are missing from some stores' stock lists when shopping on Shop.coop.co.uk. All stores are impacted ie some products will be missing from their inventory but the number of missing products is currently unknown. The cause has been identified as an issue with the batch files upload to Naveo. We are looking to re-run this process which may further impact existing stock data whilst it is being refreshed. Timescales are still being sought. Next update 12:30pm
